Partial felt replacement — play area only, in basic-grade Moorj 500 cloth. AED 1,100, at your location in Dubai and across the UAE. The economical option when the bed is worn but the cushions are still sound. We replace the cloth on the play area only and leave the rails intact, which cuts both the labour and the material cost compared with a full re-cloth. Service includes partial felt replacement, play area only, in the cloth colour of your choice. The rails keep their existing cloth. WHEN PARTIAL MAKES SENSE • Wear is concentrated on the bed — break line, spots, pocket approaches • The cushion cloth is still clean, unfaded and unsnagged • You want to extend the table's life at the lowest sensible cost WHEN TO CHOOSE A FULL RE-CLOTH INSTEAD • The rails are faded or worn, in which case new bed cloth will visibly mismatch • You are changing colour — bed and rails would no longer match • The table is commercial, where a full re-cloth gives a longer interval before the next service WHEN A TABLE NEEDS RE-CLOTHING • Balls skid or slow unevenly across different areas of the bed • Visible wear tracks along the break line, around the spots or in front of pockets • Burns, snags, tears or drink stains • The nap has flattened and the table plays slower than it used to • Colour has faded, usually from sunlight through villa windows HOW OFTEN, REALISTICALLY Home tables in light use: typically every 5 to 10 years. Family tables in regular use: every 3 to 5 years. Club, café, hotel and office tables: every 1 to 2 years. In the UAE, air conditioning and ambient humidity affect how cloth beds in and how quickly the nap flattens, so heavily used tables here often need attention sooner than the same table would elsewhere.
