Full billiard table re-clothing in premium-grade cloth — CPBA TN-999 or CPBA Competition. AED 2,000 plus travel, at your location in Dubai and across the UAE. The top tier, and the only one we recommend for a table that is played hard or played for money. CPBA Competition runs 65% wool at 380 g/m²; TN-999 is the tournament wool. Both are dense, tightly woven and napless, and both are chosen for the same reason: they hold their surface. A premium cloth is not about the first week, when every new cloth feels good. It is about month eighteen, when a cheaper cloth has pilled along the break line and this one has not. WHO THIS TIER IS FOR • Tournament and league play, where the roll has to be the same every frame • Clubs, cafés, hotels and offices — tables in front of the public every day • Serious home players who practise rather than potter • Anyone tired of re-clothing a busy table every eighteen months WHAT THE PRICE INCLUDES Disassembly, the full re-cloth of cushions and play area in the colour of your choice, reassembly, and levelling. MOVING THE TABLE AT THE SAME TIME If you are moving house, the re-cloth also covers moving the table to the new address — within a 40 km radius. Past 40 km, travel is charged on top. A re-cloth in Fujairah is AED 2,000 plus AED 300 travel. Moving a table from Fujairah to Ras Al Khaimah is AED 2,000 plus AED 300, plus the leg between the two addresses. Send us both addresses and you will have the total before you book, not after. ACCESS — PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING Apartments and offices need a working lift. A stone bed cannot be carried up a stairwell safely, and we will not attempt it. Roof terraces, basements, and the second or third floor of a villa carry an extra charge. Send us photographs of the access and we will confirm the figure before the day, not on it. THE COST ARGUMENT, HONESTLY Premium is AED 600 more than basic. On a family table played a few times a month, that money buys very little you will notice, and we will tell you so. On a club table re-clothed every year, premium usually stretches the interval enough to pay for itself, and the table looks better for longer in front of paying customers. Tell us how the table actually gets used and we will point you at the right tier, not the dearest one. WHEN A TABLE NEEDS RE-CLOTHING • Balls skid or slow unevenly across different areas of the bed • Wear tracks along the break line, around the spots or in front of the pockets • Burns, snags, tears or drink stains • The nap has flattened and the table plays slower than it used to • Colour has faded, usually from sunlight through villa windows HOW OFTEN, REALISTICALLY Light home use: every 5 to 10 years. Regular family use: every 3 to 5 years. Club, café, hotel and office tables: every 1 to 2 years. Air conditioning and humidity change how cloth beds in here, so a heavily used table in the UAE often needs attention sooner than the same table would elsewhere. THE OTHER TIERS Basic (AED 1,400) is Moori 500 — the value option for family and occasional play. Competition (AED 1,700) is CPBA MG-700 — worsted, consistent, and the right answer for most home tables that get regular use.
