Service Description

Full billiard table re-clothing in basic-grade cloth — Moorj 500. AED 1,400, at your location in Dubai and across the UAE. Good quality cloth at the most accessible price, and the right choice for family tables, occasional play, and tables in guest rooms or holiday homes. A correctly fitted basic cloth plays far better than a worn premium cloth, so if your current surface is tired this is the most cost-effective way to bring the table back. Service includes full felt replacement — cushions and play area — in the cloth colour of your choice. WHAT A FULL RE-CLOTH INVOLVES The rails are removed, the old cloth is stripped from both the cushions and the slate bed, the bed is cleaned and checked, new cloth is fitted and tensioned across the slate, the cushions are re-covered, and the table is reassembled and levelled. Tension is what matters: cloth fitted loose will roll slow and develop creases within weeks. WHEN A TABLE NEEDS RE-CLOTHING • Balls skid or slow unevenly across different areas of the bed • Visible wear tracks along the break line, around the spots or in front of pockets • Burns, snags, tears or drink stains • The nap has flattened and the table plays slower than it used to • Colour has faded, usually from sunlight through villa windows HOW OFTEN, REALISTICALLY Home tables in light use: typically every 5 to 10 years. Family tables in regular use: every 3 to 5 years. Club, café, hotel and office tables: every 1 to 2 years. In the UAE, air conditioning and ambient humidity affect how cloth beds in and how quickly the nap flattens, so heavily used tables here often need attention sooner than the same table would elsewhere. CHOOSING A GRADE Each tier is a named cloth. Basic (AED 1,400) is Moorj 500 — right for family and occasional home play. Competition (AED 1,700) is CPBA MG-700 — the usual choice for serious home players and light club use. Premium (AED 2,000) is CPBA TN-999 or CPBA Competition — for tournament-standard play and commercial tables.
